Family Matters At Littlebourne Chapel

The Chapel is a part of the work undertaken by St. Andrews.   The aim of the work is to build up strong links with the parents and carers of pre-school children in the area and its surroundings.  The people that come week by week get to know that we love Jesus and will pray for them or their friends or family.  We are often given opportunities to be able to share our knowledge and experience of Jesus with these folk.
In addition to these activities we arrange things during the summer holiday time.  In the past we have ran Little Sonbeams in the holiday, had picnics at a local park with a kite making workshop, ran a holiday club for those children whom we used to see weekly, but are now in school, arranged a visit to Wingham Wildlife Park and much more.
For the adults who come and other adult family members we host evenings for them to come and enjoy.  These have recently included a Christmas Party and a talk by a local Christian who makes beautiful quilts.  We have also held a colour me beautiful evening led by a Christian lady and a pampering evening by the Body Shop.
We love to cater for the whole family too.  We celebrate Christmas together at the chapel with a Nativity service.  We also have a morning thanking God for Harvest time.  Last year we held a thanksgiving morning for the families that we see, and the babies that had been born during the year.
