Serve With Us
If you feel that God has brought you to settle at St. Andrew’s or The Chapel, then there are plenty of ways to get more involved.
Hospitality Team
Hospitality is very important to us, so we encourage all members of the church to be welcomers.
We have hospitality teams who take it in turns to set up and serve refreshments, to welcome at the door and take up the offering. If you are able to commit to serving on a team (usually once a month) please let us know!
Communion Preparation
We have Communion on the first Sunday of the month at St. Andrew’s and on the third Sunday of the month at The Chapel.
This requires one or two people to prepare the communion table before the service, then washing up and putting away after the service.
The Worship Team
Our singers, musicians and AV team work closely together to help lead the fellowship in sung worship of our God. It is not a musical performance, but a group of people who love to worship God and to serve Him with their musical ability.
Are you interested in serving in our worship team? If you are following Christ and love to worship with singing or an instrument, please speak to one of the worship team. Our practices are currently on Wednesday mornings.
If you are technical rather than musical, there is the opportunity to get involved with operating the laptop/ projector and sound desk for our morning services.
Oasis Café
If you love hospitality, then maybe volunteering with the Oasis Café is for you! Our volunteers find the café a satisfying place to be as it involves working with a friendly team and engaging with our regular customers as well as visitors to Canterbury.
The team welcomes those who are able to commit to a day (or two!) a week.
As we are open to the public, volunteers will be given training in food hygiene and will need to adhere to the procedures.
