Worship & Prayer

Dwelling in His Presence

Following our time of New Year Prayer in 2023, we felt very called to draw closer to God in prayer and praise. In partnership with Favour House Church, St. Andrew’s has committed Thursdays from 12 – 1pm to seeking God in prayer and worship.

This is led either by King James or one of our elders, but all attendees are invited to share Scriptures, a word from God and to speak out praise to God as the Holy Spirit leads.

We rejoice that this time of worship is attended by Christians from different churches in Canterbury - all are welcome to join us in the worship area for this.

Littlebourne Prayer

Tuesdays, 7:30 – 8:00pm on Zoom

The Chapel team meet every week (except the last week of the month) to pray for the village of Littlebourne and to pray for God’s kingdom to be established there. Those who have a heart to pray for Littlebourne are welcome.

Listening Prayer

Saturdays, 9:30 – 10:30am on Zoom

This time of prayer is not to bring our own needs, but to listen and respond to what the Holy Spirit wants us to pray.

Someone starts with a Scripture and then there is a time of quiet to listen to the Holy Spirit. Not everyone gets something to share, but those who do share what the Holy Spirit has given them – perhaps a song, a Scripture, a picture. The group discerns what the Holy Spirit is revealing to them and prays and praises accordingly.

New Year Prayer

For many years now, we have started the New Year with a week of prayer. We follow daily Scriptures and meditations, then gather together to seek God and also to pray around our building and our area of Canterbury.
